Due to some serious performance issues, I had to redevelop my gallery page. I was using Gallery 2.0, but found it to be a massive, clunky mess that prevented people from getting to my images quickly and easily. It took me an eternity to view images on a high-speed connection.

In its place I have created a gallery using the Flickr API and phpFlickr which allows you to display your Flickr galleries quite easily on your Web site. I used a tutorial by Jonathan Snook published in an amazing magazine called .NET (www.netmag.co.uk, Issue #175, May 2008). .NET magazine is a great source of design and development tips and tricks and it has some great tutorials and articles about current happenings on the Web.
